How To Become a Morning Person

By Emma Callow

There’s nothing better than waking up in the morning at your own leisure and being able to enjoy the time you have before starting off the day. Although, reality strikes and there are days when we have to wake up earlier than we may like. I have learned little things to incorporate into my morning routine that have helped me learn how to enjoy the early hours of the day.

What helps me the most is having something in the morning to look forward to.

For me, I always look forward to being able to take some time to have a cup of coffee and plan for the day ahead. I look forward to the time I take in the morning to relax, drink my coffee, and write down the things that I have planned for the day. A great daily journal which helps me organize my days is the DWD x Danielle Carolan Daybook. Danielle Carolan collabed with Doing Well Daily, and made this day organizer, https://doingwelldaily.com/products/danielle-carolan-daybook. Not only does this journal serve as an agenda, but it also gets you me the right headspace by writing down daily affirmations, and focusing on mindfulness and self care.

I also have learned to change the way I view being up early in the morning.

I always used to dread the morning time and would hate having to be up early. However, I learned to change my point of view, and learned how to see the mornings as a sacred time. There is something peaceful about being up early in the day, and a sense of productivity that is felt from being up before everyone else. By viewing the early morning time through a positive light, I have learned to value the time I have in the morning and the sacredness of the early hours of the day.

I hope these tips inspired you to not be so scared of the early mornings and have encouraged you to find something that makes you feel happy before starting off your day.
