In the mood for Sushi? Then Wild Rice is the place to be. Not a Sushi lover? Well, then, Wild Rice is still the place to be– with their vast selection of other Japanese meals. Wild Rice is a great place to go with a group of friends, family, or even on a date. With affordable dishes and drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere, this restaurant is a hidden gem in downtown Fairfield. To start, let’s talk about the drinks. The Scorpion Bowls at wild rice are the perfect option if you’re out and looking to have a little fun. This alcoholic concoction contains fruit juice, multiple types of rum, vodka, gin, and is served with flaming sake in the center. Not only is this drink totally Instagram-worthy, but it’s perfect to share with friends. Wild Rice also has killer Mojitos, which are served in mason jars with fresh mint– did someone say aesthetic? The food at Wild Rice is consistently good and the portions are huge, but the service can be hit or miss. Regardless, I’ve never had a bad meal at Wild Rice. You can never go wrong starting your meal with a Miso or Hot n’ Sour soup. The Chicken Lo Mein is also delicious, and the perfect meal to share with the table– or eat alone, depending on how hungry you are. Another one of my personal faves would have to be the cucumber avocado roll. This roll is always fresh and tasty, and it’s the perfect option if you’re not in the mood for anything fishy. So grab your friends and get ~wild~ with as much Sushi as you can stomach!
