I have a love hate relationship with December. I hate the cold, but it’s my favorite time of the year, and all I want to do is think about Christmas and sing along with Mariah Carey and Michael Bublé. Interestingly enough, my favorite holiday isn’t Christmas, it’s Christmas Eve (although don’t get me wrong, Christmas is a very close second). I love Christmas Eve because of the traditions my family and I take part in each year– making homemade Christmas cookies, wrapping gifts on gifts on gifts, and watching classic Christmas movies, like the original How the Grinch Stole Christmas. As much as I want to daydream about being home with my family during the holiday season, all I can really think about is, dare I say it– finals. I know that no one wants to think about the end of the semester, trust me, I don’t either. It’s hard to be filled with holiday cheer when all I can think about is all of the exams and essays I have slowly creeping up. When I finally get around to locking myself away in the library, I need to listen to music to keep myself from going insane. And, in order to curve my Christmas craving, I find myself listening to Christmas music constantly. So, in order to, hopefully, help you through finals and put you in the Christmas spirit, I’ve put together my Top 25 Favorite Christmas songs.
Maybe by listening to these, you’ll be able to get through finals week, and won’t go completely insane.
