Say Goodbye To Sleeping with Wet Hair

By: Hannah Colins

If there’s one beauty tip I’ve learned that’s worth sharing it’s this:

Stop sleeping with wet hair.

Everyone says that blowing out your hair everyday or every other day will damage and ruin your hair. I’m here to tell you that’s not the case. As long as you’re using healthy products and have learned how to safely use heat on your hair, you can blow dry it every other night.

I used to sleep on wet hair because I showered too late and was tired or because I didn’t have the time to blow it out. I would wake up in the morning with my roots feeling greasy and the ends of my hair going every which way. No matter how much dry shampoo I used in the morning, I still didn’t feel like myself. A couple of months ago I realized I needed to fix it.

I began blowing out my hair every night or every 2 nights. I perfected a blowout routine where I could wake up still feeling like I had fresh hair. Although I have my moments where I’m really exhausted and can manage one day with bad hair, I’ve tried to stick to my routine.

Here are the essentials:

Shampoo your hair twice in the shower and only condition the ends.

Hair mask once a week.

It’s a 10 Miracle leave-conditioner

Kristin Ess heat protectant

Blow-dryer of your choice (I use Drybar’s blow-dryer brush)

Wait until your hair is 80% dry before using heat

When I step outside in the morning now, people come up to me and ask if I got my hair done. Take it or leave it, this is one of my die hard beauty tips and I recommend everyone try it!

XOXO, Hannah
