The Perfect Winter Shoe: Splurge and Save Options

It is officially the holiday season whenThanksgiving comes around the corner. Personally, I could not be more excited for Thanksgiving because it means we’re that much closer to Christmas (and I can listen to Christmas music without being judged, of course). With this comes the weather change and the past few days walking around campus have been brutally cold. There was even a little bit of snowfall which was crazy to see. I have now switched out my clothing and I bundle up in sweaters and sweatshirts to class. It’s officially that time of year to retire the flip flops or Birkenstocks and to take out the jackets, winter clothes, and boots that are most likely stuffed in the back of your closet and dresser drawers.

Now that it’s getting colder, I’ve been shopping for more long sleeves, jackets, and boots. I love online shopping and will quickly find myself on Revolve, DSW, or any of my favorite shop’s websites rather than doing my homework. Shoes are every girl's weakness and let’s be honest… you could ALWAYS use a new pair of shoes. There are so many cute options for this winter that will make your outfits pop even more. From boots to a good pair of sneakers, I guarantee you that you will see these shoes on the streets a lot this winter season. Whether you’re trying to shop on a budget or wanting to splurge on a good pair of shoes, I have you covered for this winter’s trendy shoe styles.

Doc Martens

I don’t know about you, but Dr. Martens have been a part of every outfit I've been seeing on influencers’ posts lately. These combat boots seem to be making a comeback and have been super popular. They come in various platform thickness (helping you keep warm in the winter with a little bit of snow) and go with just about any outfit. You can dress them up with a dress, or dress your Docs down with a comfy loungewear set. You’ll find celebrities and models like Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner wearing these too as the weather turns colder. They can be a little pricey as the price ranges from $100-$180 dollars. No doubt though, they could definitely be a staple in your closet for this winter.

Heeled Booties

You can never go wrong with your typical black heeled bootie. These make an appearance every year and probably will for a while since they are such a necessity for your closet. Along with the typical black bootie, you’ll find that white and snakeskin patterns have become super trendy and I am totally here for it. This simple shoe can go with just about every winter outfit, helping bring your outfit to the next level. The suede ones are perfect for a night out and can be found at an affordable price!

UGGs

UGG Australia is a brand that has been around for as long as I can remember. They have always made promising boots and slippers that I wear every winter. Their signature fluffy lining is sure to keep you warm on a cold day. You can also find a bunch of UGG Australia dupes online to fit your budget like the pink fluffy Anthropologie slippers!

Golden Goose Sneakers

If you’re not looking to wear boots, there is no doubt that these sneakers would be the ultimate splurge. Although they go for $500-$600, these high-end designer sneakers are so cute and definitely worth it if you’re looking for a good pair of shoes. Golden Goose sneakers have become incredibly popular, seen on many looking to make a statement. Known for the iconic classic star and rugged look, these shoes are recognized in any outfit.

Now that you know my must-haves for this winter, hopefully you’ll be inspired to go out and grab some new shoes for this upcoming winter season!
