Trend of the week: Blazers
This weeks trend is sophisticated, sharp, and fun, all in one! Recently, blazers have been taking over the internet and not just the ones we wear to meetings, business presentations, and interviews, but the ones that we wear as an accessory to our outfits. This means we can have a closet full of fun colors! I’ve seen young women wearing blue, baby pink, orange, red, and even green blazers -- and of course your basic black and white blazers, which are just as stylish. I love blazers because despite what anyone says, they can be worn anywhere, anytime, and anyway you want! Once I saw this trend emerging, I fell in love immediately because I could look sophisticated without looking like I just left a business meeting. When I was down in Cape Cod, I saw an old friend of mine over the summer and he questioned why I was wearing a blazer out to dinner. Ladies, it does not matter what anyone says to you about your blazer or why you’re wearing it... just do it!I’ve seen white sneakers paired with jean shorts and an off white blazer (which is shown below). Blazers can be worn over a plain t-shirt or tank top and paired with jeans, denim shorts, or even leather pants! I’ve seen it and done it all. Working at a dance studio, I even wear blazers to work and all of my students are in awe by the way I combine something so refined as a blazer with flowy beach pants.
The best material and well priced blazers that I’ve found were at H&M. Infact, one of my favorite influencers is dressed in the white H&M blazer pictured above. My fun colored blazers I bought at Express, which is a tad expensive but totally worth it if you have an event you’re going to attend and want a splash of color!
