These Boots Were Made For Walking Around Fairfield
Temperatures in Fairfield have officially dropped, which means the walks to DSB are now dreaded a little more, hot lattes are being chosen over cold, and, for me, boots are finally returning to my closet. While a sneaker can be worn year-round, boots peak in popularity right now. So, take advantage of the season and break out your best boots! There are so many variations for each and every occasion you may have. Here are my favorite picks for footwear that will keep everyone talking about you this season.
The Taller The Better: My favorite 2022 look for shoes are tall leather boots that fall just below the knee. Paired with a skirt or dress, they add dimension to an outfit, greater than any sneaker could. This tall boot, short skirt combination is a game changer for any date night or brunch with the girls.

Yes Please!: These Circus by Sam Edelman “Chunky Chelsea Boots” are made of rubber, which means they can easily be worn in whatever climate the unpredictable Northeast brings on: snow and rain will not be an issue! These boots are a platform style, and chunky, which pairs well with leggings, scrunched socks, and an oversized jacket or sweater. This style shoe was made to be the statement piece of an outfit. I always feel most confident when I know my shoes pair well with the rest of my outfit.
Comfort is Key: It could not be an article about shoes in 2022 without mentioning the biggest comeback of the year: Uggs. These comfy boots add something different to any of your athleisure looks. During finals, when the most social interaction most of us are getting is walking to the library, comfort is the most important element of any look. Any shoe from Ugg feels like you’re wearing slippers, which is perfect for those long days spent studying.
An Added Pop: You wouldn’t want your outfit to be boring, so why should your shoes be? Personally, I love wearing neutrals. When wearing blacks, creams, and whites, I love to add in color or patterns through my accessories. I think a pair of red statement booties are perfect to add to a going out look. One of my go-tos is a pair of snakeskin boots, which elevates your outfit and gives it flair. With exciting shoes, an outfit can be completely changed from one look to an even more interesting one.
