Outfit ideas for Christmas & Thanksgiving

If you're like me and are indecisive about picking out outfits, especially when it comes to choosing a look for a special holiday or event. To combat this issue, I did some research on some of the most popular trends for this year, as well as some winter looks that are currently on the rise. Here is a quick guide to get ready for Christmas and Thanksgiving with some outfit ideas surrounding this year's fashion trends!

 Matching Sets

This year, matching sets have been increasingly popular. As seen on the right, neutrals like brown, black, and white have all been trending. I think that a perfect Thanksgiving outfit would be a cute matching sweater set with a skirt and a pair of tall statement boots or brown booties. If you're looking for a more casual look this holiday season, a cute, cropped sweater and flared pants as depicted on the right would also work perfectly. I've seen a lot of really trendy matching sets on Princess Polly, so be sure to check them out!

 Blazers & Boots

If you're looking for a fancier & chicer look during the holidays, I highly recommend an oversized blazer look paired with knee high boots. Statement boots such as snakeskin or crocodile have become very trendy, as they go well with a basic blazer, shown in the picture on the left. These statement boots could also go with a sweater dress as well! Zara sells fantastic blazers, as does H&M for a more reasonable price range.

 All-black & More

All-black outfits have been trending this year, especially involving black leather pants and puffer jackets. I think the best way to style leather pants at a holiday event would be with a black cropped sweater. To spice up this outfit, you could also wear a mini shoulder bag, potentially introducing some texture to the look.  One of the best ways to stay warm with this look would be to add a black puffer jacket. Not only is it chic, but provides a continuous fashionable look to your outfit!
