I Heart Radio Living Room Concert for America
Due to COVID-19, so many musicians have been sharing their talents on social media platforms, like Instagram, to give people hope and happiness. Hosted by the great singer and songwriter, Elton John, iHeartRadio organized an hour long event that premiered on FOX last night that had big name musicians perform their greatest hits. The name of the show was, “The iHeartRadio Living Room Concert for America.” It was the first time ever that I was close to the front row at a concert. Some of the amazing performers last night were the Backstreet Boys, Alicia Keys, Tim McGraw, Sam Smith, Camila Cabello, Green Day, Billie Eilish, and Demi Lovato. My favorite performances of the night had to be Tim McGraw singing at his pool and Billie Eilish with her brother, Finneas, playing guitar in their basement.
It was such a positive and uplifting show that all the artists put on together from sending in videos of them singing at their houses. They all expressed the importance of social distancing along with staying positive and happy during this time. All of the artists took the time before their performances to recognize and express how much they all appreciate all of the hard work that nurses, doctors, and first responders are doing to help our country during this time. You can find iHeartRadio’s Living Room Concert for America on YouTube to see the these amazing artists share their talent if you missed it last night! Feeding America and First Responders Children’s Foundation were the two sponsored organizations that the program encouraged viewers to donate money to. Feeding America supports local food banks and First Responders Children’s Foundation supports families of first responders who are struggling financially. The links to these two organizations will be linked in this article in case you are interested in donating money.
