Valentine’s Day Lookbook:

4 Outfits for Every V-Day Plan

Tuesday is officially the day of love and countless sappy Instagram posts, bags of chocolate just waiting to go on sale in a week, and a queue of romcoms streamed on Netflix. Valentine's Day may look different for everyone. However, when you're celebrating, there is one thing you can be sure to love: Your outfit.

Here are three outfit ideas that you’ll be sure to feel your best in, whether you're spending Valentine's day with a significant other, your besties, or yourself! As the candy hearts would say “U R A QT,” so embrace it in these looks!

Going Out

Going Out

When you hear Valentine’s Day your brain might immediately go to reds, pinks, and whites, or dresses and girly silhouettes. However this Valentine's day, leather is the way to go. The dark color palette does not take away from the happiness and love of the day, but rather provides a chic look for wherever you may be headed Tuesday night. If the vibe is a little fancier, pair tall boots with a skirt and blazer combo. Trousers and a cropped sweater or tank with a leather jacket are also an elevated look for a dinner-date night.

Casual Dinner

Going for something a little softer, sweeter, or more casual? Cropped chunky sweaters have the perfect romantic vibe. I especially think sweaters in pastel colors, such as a lavender or blush, would be adorable for Valentine's Day. This look could easily be adapted for whatever you are doing, whether it be a casual dinner date, a shopping trip with friends, or simply your typical Tuesday schedule of classes. Pair with your favorite jeans and cute sneakers for a simple complete look!

Brunch With The Besties

Brunch With The Besties

If you’re going very lowkey this Valentines Day, yet still want a bit of effort in your outfit, I suggest a statement jacket and shoes. One of the best ways to feel comfortable, yet wear an outfit others envy, is to focus on the statement pieces. Your favorite leggings and a fitted white or black longsleeve can be the perfect blank canvas.

From there, add a fun jacket, your favorite platform boots, or a statement necklace stack. There is no stopping what you can do when you start with basics! This look is perfect for a Galentine’s Brunch or outdoor date, but it can be reused whenever you want to elevate a comfortable look.

Staying In

Staying In

Considering we should be focusing on self-love this Valentine's Day, a perfect way to start is by dressing comfortably. Put on your comfiest sweats and relax! Going with a matching set can make the outfit feel more complete (bonus points if your sweats are red or pink!).

I love the look of a tank, cardigan, and pants set, or some comfy wide-leg pants with a cropped sweatshirt. Whether you’re having a movie night with your significant other, ordering sushi with your suitemates, or giving yourself a much-deserved break, these looks are both comfy and cute!

Whatever it is that you are doing this Tuesday, make sure you show your love - to your roommates, to your significant other, to your friends, to your parents, to your dog, and most importantly, to yourself. Start this self love by wearing something you feel best in!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Xoxo, Jenna
