What I Bought During the Sephora Sale- and Why You Should Too

The most wonderful time of the year is here!

Turkeys, Christmas trees, and most importantly, sales.

If you’re anything like me, your bank account doesn’t end the year as happy as you do–it specially hates you during this season. However, the one sale that never ends with buyer’s remorse is the Sephora Holiday Savings Event. This type of sale only happens twice a year, and it is the last one you want to miss. Rouge Members (you spend at least $1,000 per year) receive 20% off the final purchase, VIB Members (you spend at least $350 per year) receive 15% off the final purchase, and finally Insider Members receive 10% off the final purchase. Regardless of status, any discount is worth it since Sephora rarely puts its products on sale. So, without further adieu, here are my top 10 favorites from the Sephora sale!

1. Sol De Janeiro Wild Extravaganza Set ($62.00 [$92.00 value])

This set is my favorite purchase of the sale. It includes a body wash, lip balm, body mist and of course their famous Bum Bum Cream. I have been obsessed with all of the Sol De Janeiro products for years, so this kit is absolutely perfect to stock up on my favorites!

2. Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille Travel Spray ($65.00)

Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford is my signature scent. You’ll love it if you are into warm and spicy fragrances as opposed to sweet or fresh scents. Although I rarely need to reapply this perfume (it literally lasts all day, even through Peloton classes), this travel spray is always in my bag! With notes of tobacco leaf, ginger, and cocoa, this is the perfect winter scent.

3. Tatcha the Water Cream ($68.00)

The Water Cream Oil-Free Pore Minimizing Moisturizer by Tatcha 100% lives up to the hype. This has been my top moisturizer for years, and it gets me through both summer and winter months beautifully. It targets dryness, uneven texture and dullness, and enlarged pores. To top it off, all of Tatcha’s products are “Clean at Sephora,” meaning they are formulated without sulfates, parabens, and phthalates!

4. Olehenriksen Green Balancing Force Toner ($29.00)

The OLEHENRIKSEN Balancing Force Oil Control Toner is the best toner to restart and refresh your skin. It has salicylic, lactic, and glycolic acids to remove excess oil and clarify the skin. This product has been a huge part of my pandemic skin care routine ever since I switched over from a hydrating toner to an oil-removing one to help curb “maskne” and to give my skin a little extra cleanse!

5. Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask ($68.00)

This is my absolute favorite hydrating face mask, and it can be used so many ways. If your skin really needs some TLC, leave this bad boy on overnight and you will wake up a new person. If you’re not really into masks, it can also be used as a daily moisturizer or primer under makeup. Whichever way you use it, you can’t go wrong!

6. Dr. Jart+ Cica Rescue Kit ($42.00 [$71.00 value])

This is a brand I have been waiting to try, so with the sale I finally decided to! I have heard so many great reviews about these products–particularly their Tiger Grass redness removing properties. I have been trying them for the past couple of weeks, and I have to say I am really impressed! This kit includes a calming mist, tiger grass serum and cream, and a color correcting treatment. All of the products in this kit help to curb redness and really repair broken and dry skin.

7. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask ($22.00)

It’s no secret that everyone loves this overnight lip mask, so I took the opportunity during the sale to restock on this cult favorite. My personal favorite flavor is Berry, but the mask also comes in Vanilla, Apple Lime, Sweet Candy, and Gummy Bear, with the newest releases being Lemon Sorbet and Mint Choco. Go grab this mask for the winter months ahead- your lips will love you for it!

8. Foreo Luna™ 3 for Sensitive Skin ($199.00)

This is the best tool to cleanse your skin and go the extra mile to make sure all oil and dirt is removed. Some people prefer to use their hands to wash their face, but I think a cleansing tool like Foreo really gives your skin the extra love it deserves. Along with cleansing, it also firms and exfoliates!

9. Supergoop! Glowscreen Sunscreen SPF 40 ($36.00)

We’ve all heard our mothers tell us to use sunscreen…and we all ignored it. Finally, the day has come where I appreciate my mom’s advice to use sunscreen. This Glowscreen feels more like a dewy primer than a sunscreen and I can’t go a day without using it. You’ve heard it before, but I’m going to say it one more time: Wear. Your. Sunscreen!

10. Olaplex Holiday Hair Fix Set ($60.00 [$84.00 value])

Last but not least, Olaplex is my go-to hair brand to repair damaged and dry hair. This kit contains the essentials to get your hair feeling 100%. This kit includes the No. 3 Hair Perfector™, No. 4 Bond Maintenance™ Shampoo, No. 5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner™, and the No. 6 Bond Smoother™. You’ll look and feel like you just left the salon with this kit!

And just like that it’s over! I hope you guys enjoyed reading my favorites from Sephora, and hopefully this helps you to find new products to try or to add to your holiday wish list! Make sure to come back for my Sephora Spring Sale review!

All the best, always.

Cheers!

xx - Paloma Pariente
