9:15 AM - Good morning everyone! I’m about to do my skincare routine, so I figured I’ll bring my laptop along with me to write about it for you guys.

Usually each morning, I start with a reusable Starbucks cup full of ice water and lemon. I know that sounds so basic, but I truly believe drinking lemon water every morning works wonders for your skin, among other benefits.

To begin my morning skincare routine, I splash cold water on my face to wake me up. Next, depending on the day, I alternate between one of these two scrubs: St. Ives Apricot Scrub and Alba Botanica Hawaiian Facial Scrub (with Pineapple Enzyme). The St. Ives scrub is harsher, so it’s important to note you can’t use it every morning, but rather 2-3 times per week!

The Alba Botanica scrub is much lighter, although still a pore purifying scrub, so it’s perfect for your days off from St. Ive’s. I have used both scrubs for many years and completely swear by them!

After the face scrub, I usually gently pat on (using my ring finger) Clinique’s All About Eyes Eye Cream. The lightweight, award-winning eye cream minimizes the appearance of the dark spots and bags under my eyes. It gives the under-eye area a fully revitalized look, making me appear well-rested, even if I only got 5 hours of sleep (probably because I was binge-watching Sex and the City… for the fifth time).

Next, I then use the Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream. I have tried out multiple moisturizers over the years struggling to find the perfect fit for me, but I’m happy to say I have finally found it! The Water Bank Moisture Cream is such a rich moisturizing cream made of mineral-heavy vegetable extracts. I spread this evenly across my face and immediately after my skin is insanely smooth. Everyone I know who uses Laneige usually loves and trusts their products, so it is definitely worth it to add this moisturizer to your cart.

Paired with my facial skincare routine, I usually moisturize my body after a shower using Unscented Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion (for dry skin). It hydrates your skin for a full 24 hours, but to me, you can’t get enough of it. A bunch of my friends also use Aveeno Stress Relief Moisturizing Lotion. This lotion helps relax, but also hydrates your skin. It features the therapeutic scent of lavender, which helps you relieve stress as you work it into the skin. I’m no expert, but I wouldn’t recommend using a scented lotion if you have sensitive skin!

To finalize my morning routine, I swipe on Burt’s Bees chapstick as a finishing touch and I’m ready to start the day. I’ll come back later to bring you through my nighttime skincare routine!

10:00 PM - After a long day, at around 9 pm I usually get excited to start my skincare routine again. It’s slightly different than my morning skincare routine, however, some products overlap.

If wearing makeup, I usually use the Just the Basics Pre Moistened Facial Towelettes. These have been my favorite since I started wearing makeup (what feels like many years ago). A crucial tip I follow is to always take off your makeup before bed.

Following the makeup wipes, I use Glossier’s Face Exfoliator and Skin Perfector. Glossier is one of my favorite brands (I love their Balm Dotcom Collection) just because they are 100% cruelty-free, and made of mostly natural materials. The Face Exfoliator is unlike the physical scrubs I mentioned earlier, the solution uses a mix of natural ingredients to remove dead skin. If used daily, it helps the appearance of blemishes, pores, and redness. Another plus is that it is hypoallergenic, paraben-free, and appropriate for all skin types.

Next, I use the Clinique All About Eyes Cream again for the under-eye area, but switch it up for my night time moisturizer. I have been a long time fan of e.l.f.’s Nourishing Night Cream. This night cream deeply hydrates my skin before bed, and I wake up with smooth skin almost every morning. It’s infused with jojoba, aloe, cucumber, and vitamin E, for protecting the skin, and infused with antioxidants like shea butter, lemon, and orange. My two favorite things about this product are that it is only $12 and that e.l.f. skincare products are also cruelty free/vegan.

To finish up, I swipe on Burt’s Bees chapstick again as a final touch.

That’s about all for my skincare routine! I am definitely no stranger to face masks, and like to incorporate these in after a shower, whenever I want to! Some other favorites of mine not included in this article are Burt’s Bees Skin Nourishment Eye Cream, Milk Makeup Cooling Water, and Kiehl’s Creme de Corps Soy Milk and Honey Whipped Body Butter (for the body clearly).

Before I go, I just wanted to highlight the fact that everyone’s skin is different. Although these are my go-to’s, read the website reviews before purchasing (it should mention what skin types the product is best for)! My skin is not sensitive, not oily, and usually dry after being in the sun!

That’s all for now!
