The Ultimate Guide to a Galentine’s Day Girls’ Night

By: Hannah Collins

Valentine’s Day is the time of year when everyone wishes they had a special someone to spend it with. For the people who don’t have that, it can be a hard day to feel happy. Although having a romantic relationship with someone is wonderful, don’t feel bad about not having one! There are other ways to spend your Valentine’s Day; being with your best friends.

As someone who loves love but hasn’t had the chance to experience it, I’ve found other ways to have a memorable Valentine’s Day. Love and relationships can come from more than the romantic aspect. So grab your single friends and share with them my guide to a perfect girls night in.

One of my favorite ways I’ve spent this holiday with my girlfriends is a pizza and cake night. Homemade pizza and a sweet treat is the perfect cure for anything. And don’t forget to make it fun! Come up with ideas for decorating your cake (or cookies!); a heart-shaped cake and pink frosting is my go-to.

Cocktails are a must for a girls night. A simple way to go would be my go to, champagne and raspberries. My next favorite would be an espresso martini - you can never go wrong with those. You could also make any cocktail a mocktail if you want a more lowkey night!

If you’re not up for the wild night of cooking and drinks, make it a low-key one! Order in some pizza, put on some pjs, and watch the classic rom-coms with your girlfriends. There is nothing better than watching How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days with your friends, even though I bet everyone has seen it numerous times (but it never gets old.)

Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to revolve around a romantic dinner and being in a relationship. It’s about love and relationships in general, which includes your best friends. A girls night in for Valentine’s Day should be your alternative to the classic idea we all have. I hope this guide gives you some ideas on how to have the ultimate girls night in and spend quality time with your girlfriends!

XOXO, Hannah
