Puffer Coats: Still in Style

It’s been a rather tame winter so far, but don’t start pulling out your spring clothes just yet! It is still freezing and unless you have been living under a rock, you know puffer jackets are it right now. It’s a simple way to up your winter fashion game. They come in so many colors and styles, it’s really hard to find one you don’t like. I am completely obsessed with this trend; I have three puffers myself. They spice up a boring outfit to class and can even be worn on the point! The best thing about puffers is that they are cute no matter your budget. I thought I’d make it easier on you and I found them at every price point.

$25 AND UNDER

We all love a good Target moment; I could get lost for hours walking through their aisles. I always end up walking out with something I don’t need, but want. That's what exactly happened with this puffer- I didn’t really NEED a new puffer, but I’m so glad I got it. This jacket is under $25 and is definitely worth the buy. It’s not the most practical, mostly because it’s so light, but with some good layering it's perfect for this cold weather. I wear it constantly and cannot explain the amount of compliments I’ve gotten, and for so cheap!

$50 AND UNDER

I also have purchased a puffer from ASOS, and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. While it wasn’t this jacket in particular, I would still give this site good reviews. Adding a jacket like this into your wardrobe is definitely making a statement. This is definitely wearable for every day, but I wouldn’t pay more than $50 for this simply because of its bold pattern. It’s great to make bold statements with your clothes and express yourself. Pairing this jacket with a pair of black ripped jeans and Doc Martins is an amazing way to edge up your style!

$100 AND UNDER

The last two puffers were really bold and definitely statement pieces. If you are more on the reserved side and willing to spend $100 on a jacket, this is a perfect one for you. Although this jacket is black, which is safe, the shine of the coat will add another texture to your outfit. This jacket would look amazing with an all-black fit and a beanie. Not to mention, this jacket will last you longer than the cheaper ones AND keep you warm in the snow.

$200 AND UNDER

I think we all knew this one was coming. It’s a little pricey, but 100% worth the hype. This jacket was initially promoted by my fave blogger, Maggie MacDonald, and after she enlightened us, everyone HAD to have their hands on it. I personally do not have this jacket, but my roommate does and all I have heard are great things. If you ever get a chance go to your local Aritzia and just feel this jacket, it’s so buttery and soft while still being durable for the harsh winter. This jacket comes in so many colors and lengths, so you are bound to find one you like even if the one above is not your style. I’m in love with this jacket and is the next puffer on my wish list.

OVER $200

If you are willing to spend a pretty penny, Lululemon is always a good idea. I’m a huge fan of this brand and I can’t imagine their coats would be of poor quality. Sadly, I don’t have this puffer either, but I’ve heard good things about this coat too. Something cool about their puffer (that is unique to this puffer) is that it's waterproof! This is great because the weather has been unpredictable, and it rains all the time. When I’m walking around in the rain, I feel bad getting my coats all wet, but since this one is waterproof, it won’t get ruined.

Puffers are definitely the move this winter and I don’t see them going out of style any time soon. I would hurry if you like any of these though because most of them are on sale right now! Out of all the puffers above I think the best bang for your buck is either the Nordstrom or the ASOS one. They don’t completely break the bank and will keep you warm in the snow. Stay Warm :)
