Located on Long Island in New York, The Hamptons is the perfect getaway for a summer trip that will always be remembered! Whether you’re in desperate need of some ocean time or even a relaxing kayak ride on the bay, the Hamptons can accommodate these needs. Located on the Atlantic ocean, right next door to the bay, the Hamptons is home to the most gorgeous beaches that many tourists and natives love to visit.
Besides the beaches, the Hamptons offers tons of other activities that make a visitors experience on this part of the island extremely enjoyable! As an annual visitor of the Hamptons, I have come to love the treasures that it has to offer! From beaches to restaurants and shops, I have created a list of some of the absolute musts in the Hamptons. I hope you all get the chance to travel to the Hamptons and experience this special place for yourselves.
Beaches:
Cupsogue Beach County Park, Westhampton, NY
This particular beach happens to be one of my family’s FAVES! The beach is located at the east end of Fire Island and the west end of Westhampton. The beach has restaurants right off the boardwalk with some of the best live music, food, and drinks to make your day at the beach even better. Cupsogue Beach County Park is also located on Dune Road, one of the priciest streets to live on in the country. The homes on this street and the beach itself are beautiful which is what makes this particular beach all the more special.
Restaurants:
CowfishHampton Bays, NY
A trendy restaurant in the surrounding area is Cowfish. Here you are surrounded by views of the different canals, visible from the outdoor patio tables of the restaurant. Between the assortment of fresh seafood and sushi, everyone raves about the food all the time. The scenery and menu together make for a great night out in the Hamptons!
Bostwick’s Chowder HouseEast Hampton, NY
I personally think that Bostwick’s Chowder House is AMAZING–definitely one of my favorites. Although the vibe of the restaurant is very casual, the restaurant offers good eats and a good time. A popular option is taking your food to-go so you can eat on the beach. The menu consists of the freshest seafood caught right on the Hamptons. This place is a MUST visit while in the Hamptons.
Bay Kitchen BarEast Hampton, NY
While this restaurant is another seafood-centered menu, Bay Kitchen Bar has some of the best salads and desserts as well. What is so appealing about this restaurant is its beautiful outdoor seating, perfect for sunset viewing. Bay Kitchen Bar is a great place to end your beautiful day on the Hamptons.
Best Downtown Scene:
Hands down…..Southampton
Between the huge variety of everyone’s favorite retail shops (and even ones unique to the Island), gourmet restaurants, and of course great ice cream, Southampton is the place to be summer days and nights! No other town on the Island is quite as nice.
