Time to Podcast

During the summer, I have hopped on the trend of listening to podcasts. I felt like I was listening to the same music over and over again and I wanted to change it up! Podcasts are a great way for inspiration, motivation, or simply for entertainment! I have listened to a few podcasts that I absolutely LOVE and highly recommend if you want to get into listening to them!

  1. Girls Next Door

For those of you who do not know, this podcast is hosted by two of our Point Magazine members, Liza Rozenberg and Allison Isola! Before I was even involved in The Point, I followed them on Instagram and came across this podcast! The first episode I listened to was, “Episode 13 - A Day in the Life at Fairfield PT 1-FOOD.” I love going out to dinner and trying new restaurants, so I wanted to hear some recommendations before I arrived at Fairfield U for the fall semester! I took their recommendations of trying Colony Grill (incredible bar pizza), the Thanksgiving sandwich from Firehouse Deli, and the Penne alla Vodka from Molto! If you want to listen to some local girls, I highly recommend this podcast!

  2. The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast

This is another podcast I discovered over this summer dealing with lifestyle, beauty, and fitness. Husband and Wife duo, Michael Bosstick and Lauryn Evarts Bosstick, easily have built their brand not only through their podcast, but through their blog, multiple Instagram accounts, workout/meal plans, and more! They have had guests from Jillian Michaels to Claudia Sulewski on the YouTuber/media side and so many more. Personally, my favorite episode is “Lauryn’s Quarantine Routine - Specifics On How To Thrive While Social Distancing.” I am the type of person who needs routines to get through my life or at least plan out my day to a certain extent. Listening to this episode of Lauryn talking about what she has added to her routine was very  motivating. If you are looking for some lifestyle and beauty tips, I definitely recommend this podcast!

  3. Happy Hour with Gretchen Geraghty

Gretchen Geraghty is a YouTuber I found a few years ago and I am obsessed with her content! She is a smaller YouTuber with around 367,000 subscribers, but I love how genuine she is in her videos. Gretchen has the same energy in her podcast! My favorite episode is a more recent episode, “How Arvin Olano Started YouTube, Grew Into His Authentic Self + Found A Passion For Design!” Arvin Olano also has a channel with his most popular videos being about decorating and interior design! Gretchen and her boyfriend, Max, just recently moved into an apartment in Allentown, PA and I love watching her decorate her new place! Listening to both Gretchen and Arvin give their personal design tips has inspired me to head out to HomeGoods to find some new pieces for my room! If you are looking for a bubbly host who loves to share her life, this is the podcast for you!

Although there are many podcasts that I have yet to listen to, these are some of my favorites and ones that I highly recommend! Grab some headphones, go on a walk or drive, and get listening!

All the Love,

Morgan Mancini.
