Fall 2022 Fashion Trends

One of my favorite seasons of the year is finally here: fall! The colors of the leaves on the trees outside are now gorgeous shades of red and yellow and the crisp weather is perfect. It’s finally time to switch out your bikinis and shorts for sweaters and jeans, and we’re here for it. I’ve curated a list of some of the fall fashion trends you should expect to be seeing this season, and probably want to get your hands on immediately.

Oversized Blazers

Blazers are so in right now and are a staple everyone needs in their closet. These are no longer simply something your mom would wear to work; they’re now more fashionable and trendy than ever. So many celebrities, like Queen Hailey Bieber herself, can be seen incorporating them into their everyday outfits. You can turn any boring or simple outfit into something so much more by throwing a blazer over it, whether it’s biker shorts or jeans. The number of outfits that can be made is endless!

Two words: long and oversized. This look screams European fall style and we’re loving it.  Layering with this jacket is so easy and an absolute must for this fall season (winter, too!) Wearing a sweater or sweatshirt under this will definitely step up your style in an effortless way. Jeans and a chunky scarf paired with this is a classic and timeless outfit. I’m studying abroad next semester in Florence and this is already on my list of must-haves.

Plaid and striped sweats have been all over my social media feeds and I’ve been looking to purchase one ever since. They’re super cute and something good to wear when you’re looking for something casual but want to look presentable and put-together. Plaid’s favorite time of year is the transition into fall as it makes its big comeback for the colder weather. A plaid shacket or set is always a safe bet if you’re looking for a festive fall outfit as well. 

Sweater Vests and Collared Shirt

This trend is everything! This is something I’ve been seeing everywhere within the fashion world and I am absolutely obsessed. The collar popping out over the sweater is so effortless and makes the outfit look much more sophisticated. This not only takes a plain outfit to the next level, but is also a great way to use a collared shirt you probably never wear, or even making use of your dad’s or boyfriend’s.

People have been wearing knee-high boots for a while, but they have been so popular this season thus far. White cowboy boots don’t just have to be worn in the south! I’ve literally seen people on the streets everywhere pulling these out for the fall season.
